Stand on Principles

Stand on Principles

I find more and more those who claim a life of faith to be less and less willing to stand up for that faith. A claim to a life of faith especially troubles me with those who choose a life of elected office, who are supposed to be the “public servants.”

Those seem to be more people interested only in what is expedient or personally profitable. That last statement covers both money and re-election. Oh, how I long for the elected official who states what his or her principles are, and then stands on them, stating publicly that is what they are doing. I would go to the mat for that person, even when I disagreed with their decisions.
