Greek Word of the Day – Refuse to Believe/Apisteo (Strongs 569)

11 When they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they refused to believe it. Mark 16:11 (NASB) I might catch a little heat for this one, but that’s fine. Some folks don’t like hearing or using the last few passages in the book of Mark for various reasons, but I like it. I especially like the first definition for today’s word in that it is talking about betrayal and betraying a trust when we refuse to believe the things God tells us.

Greek Word of the Day Refuse to believe (Strongs 569) from HERE.

    • Thanks. I’m glad you liked it. I’ve taken a look…

17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful.
      Matt 28:17 (NASB) HERE

Is doubtful but it’s a different Greek word. Is the point that it is similar to Refused to Believe?
